This morning Mayor Joe Hogsett announced Project Indy – his summer youth jobs program. The launch event was at FedEx Express at Indianapolis International Airport. The goal is to get 2000 youth jobs with area businesses and organizations. If your company isn’t participating in Project Indy, it’s not too late to sign up. Project Indy is one of the best ways to connect with youth age 16 to 24 in Marion County.
When we set out to build a new job search tool for workers, we knew that youth are difficult for employers to reach. Being selected by EmployIndy to provide technology to power Project Indy validates the importance of mobile and the importance of location in young people’s job search.
We’re especially proud of Brianna Ingram, from our customer success team. Brianna is a graduate of last year’s summer youth employment initiative, YouthBuildIndy and has been a superstar for WorkHere.
